About Catalog Templates
Catalog templates let customers browse your entire Meta-connected product catalog without leaving the WhatsApp chat. Tapping the "View Catalog" button opens an in-app product list complete with images, prices, and descriptions. Catalog templates are not currently available in Meta Business Manager's UI — they can only be created via the WhatsApp Business API, which is exactly what our builder generates code for.
Why use a Catalog template?
Catalog templates remove friction from mobile commerce. Instead of redirecting customers to a website, the catalog opens inside the WhatsApp app, keeping users in a familiar surface and dramatically improving conversion versus link-out flows.
Each catalog template is tied to your Meta Commerce Catalog, so any product update — price changes, new SKUs, stock changes — propagates automatically. You don't need to resubmit the template every time inventory changes.
