Pricing Calculator

Turn your monthly messaging plan into a clear budget. Choose your customers’ country, estimate your activity, and see exactly where the costs come from.

01 / YOUR MARKET

Where are your customers?

Rate market: North America. Use the recipient’s country, not your business location. Choose the currency used by your Meta messaging account. All 16 published billing currencies are available; each uses its official rate card, not an exchange-rate conversion. Currency availability for your account depends on Meta’s billing rules.

02 / MONTHLY ACTIVITY

Plan your messaging

How would you like to estimate?

Meta charges for delivered outgoing messages. Incoming customer messages are not charged. Conversation mode multiplies chats by your average outgoing messages; it is not conversation-based billing.

Business-initiated messaging / templates

Include templates sent in customer-started chats here too. Count each message once.

Marketing · 0,0250 $ / message

2 000 delivered messages; free entry point messages are a subset of this total.

Utility · 0,0034 $ / message

3 000 delivered messages; free entry point messages are a subset of this total.

Authentication · 0,0034 $ / message

0 delivered messages; free entry point messages are a subset of this total.

Customer-initiated support / service

Non-template replies within the 24-hour customer service window. Each business phone number gets 1,000 free service messages monthly. Enter each number separately; unused allowances cannot be shared.

03 / Provider fees, tax & Meta Business Agent

Optional costs in USD. Enter your provider’s actual contract fees. Per-message fees apply to all delivered messages entered above, including messages free from Meta. Markup applies to Meta message charges.

Meta Business Agent: USD 2 per million tokens. Delivery is included; do not count its replies as service messages. Cached tokens are free. For non-USD billing, tokens are shown separately because Meta converts them at its invoice exchange rate.

How WhatsApp API pricing works

Meta bills delivered outgoing messages by category and recipient market. Marketing covers promotions; utility covers transactional updates; authentication covers verification codes. Service messages are non-template replies from people or third-party automation within the customer service window. Incoming customer messages do not incur a Meta message charge.

The customer service window

A customer message or call opens or refreshes a 24-hour customer service window. You can send non-template replies during this window. The first 1,000 service messages per business phone number each month are free; additional service replies use the recipient market’s service rate. An open window does not make every message free.

Free entry point messages

Eligible Click-to-WhatsApp ad interactions on Android or iOS can open a free entry point window when your business responds within the customer service window. It can last up to seven days from that response. Eligible marketing, utility, authentication and service messages within this window are free from Meta. Enter these as a subset of your delivered messages. Advertising spend and provider fees remain separate; Meta Business Agent tokens are still charged.

Volume discounts and estimate scope

Utility and authentication volume tiers reset monthly and aggregate across messaging accounts in the same business portfolio, separately for each rate market and category. Only chargeable messages qualify. The calculator applies each marginal tier to the messages in that bracket. Enter a whole month’s activity for one market; calculate other markets separately without reusing a phone number’s service allowance.

This calculator uses fixed Cloud API message pricing. Variable marketing bids, WhatsApp calling, advertising, third-party AI costs and custom provider contracts are not automatically included. Provider fees and tax are optional inputs. Rates are a published snapshot, not a live quote.
