About Multi-Product Message

Multi-Product Message (MPM) templates let you send a curated list of products from your connected Meta Commerce Catalog in a single WhatsApp message. Recipients see product titles, optional thumbnails, and prices in a scrollable in-chat list, and can add items to a cart without leaving WhatsApp. This format is ideal when you want to highlight a specific handful of SKUs rather than expose your entire catalog.

Why use Multi-Product Messages?

Where Catalog templates open the full storefront, MPM is curated — you choose exactly which 1–30 products appear in the message. This makes MPM ideal for personalised recommendations, restock alerts, and small targeted collections where less choice converts better than more choice.

Customers can add items directly to a WhatsApp cart from the message. The cart is then sent back to your business as a structured message, which your platform can convert into an order or a checkout link automatically.

How many products can a Multi-Product Message contain?
An MPM can include between 1 and 30 products. They're organised in sections of up to 30 items, and the in-chat list scrolls vertically.
How is MPM different from a Catalog template?
Catalog templates open your entire connected Meta catalog in a separate view. MPM embeds a curated subset directly inside the chat message — no extra tap required to see the products.
Do I need a Meta Commerce Catalog?
Yes. MPM references product IDs that must already exist in your connected Meta Commerce Catalog. The catalog must be approved and live before the template can be sent.
Can users check out from the cart?
Customers can build a WhatsApp cart and send it to your business. Final checkout depends on your market — WhatsApp Pay handles it natively in some countries; otherwise you generate a payment link in your reply.
